About Visočica mountains
Visočica is a mountain range that forms a natural border between Bosnia and Hercegovina. It’s a plateau with an average elevation of 1400 m with many high peaks slightly below 2000 m and the highest Dzamija 1967 m above the sea level.
Because of its remoteness and distance from Sarajevo, Visočica wasn’t visited much in the past. But with the new roads, this mountain range opens to many nature lovers. The mountains offer numerous opportunities for trekking, mountain biking, backcountry skiing, etc.
